We are pleased to announce that G4J will return on Saturday 8th November, and will be hosted in Birmingham.
Although we had originally intended G4J to be a one-off event, the positive feedback from delegates who attended the conference has shown us that there is an ongoing need for accessible high-quality, practical education focused on providing a high standard of care for elderly patients.
By moving the conference to the Midlands, we hope to make the conference more accessible to junior doctors working in the UK. Our target audience will again be Foundation Doctors and Core Medical Trainees. Whilst we hope that some delegates might be inspired to consider applying to Geriatric Medicine specialty training after attending the conference, the programme and content will be designed to be relevant to to any clinician who provides care to older patients, regardless of their future career plans.
We would like to thank the British Geriatrics Society for their offer of help with logistical and administrative support for G4J 2014, and we are all working hard to make sure that this year’s event is even more successful than before!
A provisional programme and details of how to register will be announced soon.
